About Afzalur Rashid

Afzalur Rashid is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting in School of Commerce at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He holds a B. Com. (honors) and M. Com. Degree in Accounting from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds his second Master degree in Accounting from the University of Western Sydney and a Ph. D. from the University of Wollongong. In last 17 years he taught at various Universities in Australia, Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates. The major areas of his research interest are: Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting, Corporate Intellectual Capital Reporting and Earnings Management. He presented papers at several international conferences in Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. He also has his articles published in different international refereed journals including Academy of Taiwan Business Management Review; Australasian Accounting Finance and Business Journal; Corporate Board, Roles, Duties and Composition; Corporate Ownership and Control; International Journal of Learning and Intellectual Capital; International Journal of Management; International Research Journal of Finance and Economics; Journal of Applied Business and Economics; Journal of Management and Governance; Research in Accounting in Emerging Economies; Social Responsibility Journal.
