Abstract
This presentation is an analysis of the Central American migration experience as portrayed in Honduran novelist Roberto Quesada’s Nunca entres por Miami (2002). By focusing on the protagonist’s journey from Honduras through Miami to New York City, Quesada’s novel humorously presents several of the most difficult aspects of emigrating to the United States and interjects in the US debate on immigration by offering an alternative theoretical framework for discussions of human migration.
