Theories of Borders

Description
This capstone course uses theories of borders—mostly real and geographical, but some symbolic and metaphorical—as a framework for integrating theoretical questions into an extensive original research paper. Students may select any region, time period, or historical topic for their paper, but all papers must include an analysis of borders, and draw on primary, secondary, and theoretical sources.
