About Abu Noman Mohammad Atahar Ali

Dr. Abu Noman Mohammad Atahar Ali is currently working as an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department Law at the North South University. He is also employed as an Honorary Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Wollongong (UOW), Australia. He completed his PhD in Food Safety Law from the University of Wollongong. Dr. Ali possess LL.B (Hons) and LL.M degrees from the Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. He has more than 11 years teaching experience at different leading universities of Bangladesh, namely, the Southeast University (SEU) and the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). Apart from teaching, Dr. Ali has been always fascinated with academic research. To date, he has authored more than a dozen of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. He has published in several reputable international journals including the Food and Drug Law Journal (a widely cited journal in the US Supreme Court decisions), Australian Journal of Asian Law (published from Melbourne Law School), Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety (currently ranked number 2 journal in the food research field with an impact factor of 5.90), Journal of Asian and African StudiesAsia Pacific Journal on Human Rights and the LawEuropean Food and Feed Law Review and so forth. Dr. Ali has presented a number of research papers at conferences organised by Harvard University, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), University of North Texas, University of Wollongong (Australia), Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy), University of Bonn (Germany) and so on. 

Dr. Ali is a leading scholar in the field of food safety law. He occasionally contributes to the national dailies. In 2014 he founded the Dhaka Walking Club, which promotes walking for healthy life and pollution free environment. He can be reached at this email: .
