About Dr. Alham Abuatiq

I am tenure track Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing, South Dakota State University since January.9th 2017. I have PhD in Nursing since 2013 from the University of San Diego, Master degree in Nursing (2006), and BSN degree (2004) from the University of Jordan. My teaching role in  Nursing started in 2010 in which I worked in Kaplan higher education as clinical instructor for 4 years, then after getting PhD degree I worked as Assistant Professor in California State University for 2 plus years.  I am a Member of the International Academic Nursing Alliance, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI) Phi chapter.
My Research Interests are in two themes, first, E-learning in nursing & the use of virtual patients online systems & it's impact on student's performance. Second, stress perception in critical care & the effects of introducing technology on patients, families, and healthcare providers stress perception.
