Zheng Sun is a PhD candidate in ECE Department, Carnegie Mellon University, advised
by Prof. Pei Zhang, and co-advised by Prof. Dan Siewiorek. His research area is mobile
and networked embedded systems that utilize low-cost resource-limited hardware to build
emergency response tools and in-home medical assistant devices. His current focuses
include collaborative signal processing, high-frequency data acquisition, and machine
learning-based in-system understanding.

Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon, Zheng received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics
Engineering, and Master’s (with honor) in Signal and Information Processing both from
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China.
