Mobile social learning in an online course: A mixed-method study.
This research investigated the impact of mobile technology and social web on students’ sense of community, participation level of major course activities, and social learning in an online learning environment. Through mixed-method design, the authors aim to gain insight from the study to provide useful design suggestions for educators to incorporate mobile technologies and social web tools in online learning in a meaningful and engaging way. Challenges in design and implementation were also shared to inform design decisions during this presentation.
