Abstract
Discusses mergers and acquisitions in South Korea. Examines the governing legislation focusing on the Securities and Exchange Act, the Securities Related Class Action Act and the Act on External Auditors of Joint Stock Companies. Considers the public notice of a draft amendment to the Antimonopoly Act including amendments on the regulations on holding companies, the review of business combinations and the private right of action. Assesses the outlook for mergers and acquisitions.
