Professor Yolanda Vazquez joins the faculty as a Reuschlein Clinical Teaching
Fellow. She co-teaches with Professor Beth Lyon in the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic.
Professor Vazquez’s research interests focus on the intersection of immigration and
criminal law and issues related to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. 

Following law school, Professor Vazquez practiced in the area of criminal law as a public
defender for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Chicago and the Public Defender
Service for the District of Columbia. Professor Vazquez also practiced in the areas of
employment and immigration law. Prior to coming to Villanova, she was the Director of the
Nevada Immigrant Resource Project at the University of Nevada’s William S. Boyd School of
Law.
