About Dr Wolfram Schulz

Dr. Wolfram Schulz is Principal Research Fellow in ACER’s Surveys and International Assessment Program and has been working at ACER since 2001. He has a university degree in Political Science (Free University of Berlin) and is Doctor of Economic and Social Sciences (University of Rostock). Dr Schulz has ample experience with the analysis of large-scale survey data, questionnaire development, sampling procedures and item response modelling methods. He is giving advice on sampling, scaling and statistical analysis to external clients as well as project staff and has supervised data analytic work for a large number of national and international large-scale surveys. After working as Research Director International Surveys from 2010 to 2019, and as Psychometric Manager at the ACER UK office in London from 2016 to 2018, he is now based in Hamburg (Germany) with responsibilities for ACER's European Business Development.

Dr. Schulz is International Study Director of the IEA International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS), which assesses learning outcomes of civic and citizenship education. In addition, he is the Assessment Coordinator for the IEA Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS), member of the IEA Technical Executive Group (TEG) and senior survey advisor for a number of national and international studies conducted by ACER.
