Commentary on the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Governing the Duties between Lawyer and Client
Abstract
This chapter, written with Dean Emeritus John F. Sutton, Jr., describes and explains the requirements of Article One of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct by reference to relevant case authority, Ethics Committee Opinions, and interpretations of the ABA Model Rules. A brief history on national and state ethics codes is also included.
