Warwick Gullett has been Dean at the Faculty of Law since 2012. He is a graduate of Monash University (LLB, 1995, BA (Hons), 1997) and the Australian National University (PhD, 2002: Environmental Decision-making in a Transboundary Context: Principles, Challenges and Opportunities for Precautionary Environmental Impact Assessment). From 2001-2004 he was a Lecturer at the Australian Maritime College in Tasmania. He joined the University of Wollongong as a Lecturer in 2004, becoming a Professor in 2010. He was appointed Head of Postgraduate Studies and Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Law in 2009. His teaching in the LLB program includes Law of Torts, Law of the Sea and Marine Resources Law. He coordinates and contributes to various ANCORS professional short courses and Masters units. Warwick has held visiting appointments at the York Centre for Applied Sustainability, Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University (Toronto) and the Institute for the Law of the Sea, National Taiwan Ocean University (Keelung). From 2008-2010 Warwick was Editor of the Australian Journal of Maritime and Ocean Affairs. He is on the Editorial Committee of the Australasian Journal of Natural Resources Law and Policy and serves as Fisheries Editor for the Environmental and Planning Law Journal. He was nominated as an expert of international standing by the ARC College of Experts in 2008.
