Professor Price’s role within ACES (The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science)is to coordinate and plan education, training and outreach activities. He combines this role with his position at the University of Wollongong of Dean of Faculty of Science. Professor Price’s research is broad ranging with long-standing interests in properties and structure in conducting polymers, complex fluids, and foods. He is also interested in Food processing units such as dehydration, thermal treatment and extraction which rely on an understanding of the physico-chemical phenomena at play. He has also been working for many years on the analysis of bioactive components in foods such as phytoestrogens and antioxidants. This research has expanded to include health and environmental aspects of these bioactive compounds. He has published over 100 articles in international journals on his work.
