My scholarship investigates the dynamic interplay between law and social science. Specifically, I examine law and legal decision-making from the perspective of social psychology and draw on an emerging research paradigm known as “Behavioral Realism.” The approach looks to the field of social psychology for empirically supported theories of human behavior and then compares those theories and findings to assumptions about human behavior embedded within the law.
