Exploring the Evidence, Volume lll: Reporting Research on First-Year Seminars

Abstract
Research reports from 39 institutions are collected here. Each report includes descriptions of the institution and its students, the seminar course, research methods, and course outcomes. Reported course outcomes are related to retention, student learning and engagement, interaction with faculty, social integration, satisfaction with the institution, and GPA. Both quantitative and qualitative research reports are included.
