A native of Mexico, Vicente Fernández Fernández Romeu's own research interests
are in the area of the law and economics of civil procedure. He received his law degree
as well as a master's degree in law and a doctorate in law from the Universidad
Nacional Autónoma de México, where he teaches bankruptcy law and civil procedure. He
currently directs the law and economics program at the Instituto Tecnológico y de
Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. He serves as a research fellow at
the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología.
