Trevor C. Rowe, one of Australia's most eminent business leaders, has served on the
Bond University Council since March 2003 and was appointed Chancellor in May 2003. 

His extensive experience in the investment and banking industry has included positions
with the Arab Malaysian Development Bank and the Private Investment Company in Asia. In
1983 he established Salomon Brothers' office in Australia and subsequently filled
senior roles with the company in Australia, Asia and America. 

Currently as Chairman of Rothschild Australia Limited, Mr. Rowe works with major
corporations in advisory or capital raising roles and undertakes strategic advice for
Rothschild. Equally, he is Chairman of the Queensland Investment Corporation (funds
management), Queensland BioCapital Fund (biotech venture capital fund), United Group
Limited (telecommunications services), Director of the Australian Securities Exchange
Ltd, Member of the Board of Guardians of the Future Fund and a Member of the Foreign
Affairs Council. 

In April 2003, Mr Rowe was awarded the Commonwealth of Australia Centenary Medal
"for distinguished service to the finance industry” and in June 2004, he was awarded
a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the General Division "for service to the
investment banking sector and as a contributor to the formulation of public policy, to
higher education and to the community.”
