Dr. R. Trevor Hall joined the faculty of the Department of Communication at Boise State University in 2006. He holds a B.A. in Broadcasting from Brigham Young University and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University where his comprehensive areas of study were telecommunications policy & management and media & cognition. His dissertation was entitled "Stretching the Peacock: From Color Television to High Definition Television (HDTV), an Historical Analysis of Innovation, Regulation and Standardization". Dr. Hall is an active member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Broadcast Education Association, and the National Communication Association.
