Qualifications Master of Laws - Emory University Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) - Sydney University Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Bond University Tim Jay graduated from the Royal Australian Air Force Academy with a degree in aeronautical engineering from Sydney University. He trained as a pilot and became a captain on C130E Hercules aircraft. Following twenty years of service in the RAAF, Tim decided to pursue a career in law. He attended Bond University and graduated with first class honours in 1996. Tim completed a Masters Degree in law at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and soon after gained employment with Shearman and Sterling in New York, where he worked on cross-border leveraged lease finance transactions. In 2000, Tim moved to Hong Kong where he worked for the international law firm Coudert Brothers on a variety of cross-border finance and capital raising transactions. Returning to Australia, Tim worked in Sydney and on the Gold Coast before joining the staff at Bond University in 2006. Tim is currently lecturing in Business Associations and International Trade & Business Law while working towards his PhD in Corporate Governance law.
