Dr. Todd Hagobian is an Assistant Professor in the Kinesiology Department and member of STRIDE at California Polytechnic State University. He earned his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University, and his Doctoral degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He completed a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the Department of Kinesiology. Dr. Hagobian’s research is focused on the prevention of obesity through physical activity and nutrition. His current emphasis is the prevention of excessive body weight gain during pregnancy and prevention of gestational diabetes. Dr. Hagobian has extensive research experience centered on hormonal, metabolic, and appetite responses to physical activity, and on the regulation of body fat. Dr. Hagobian is currently conducting studies on the hormonal and metabolic responses during pregnancy. He has several refereed publications and professional presentations focused on obesity and disease prevention.
