About Terry L Turnipseed

Professor Turnipseed has written in the areas of Article I constitutional law, eminent domain, sexuality and the law, spousal property rights upon death, trust fiduciary law, transfer taxation, and the separation of church and state. He teaches courses in eminent domain, estate planning, wills and trusts, estate and gift taxation, first-year property, and nuclear engineering. Professor Turnipseed has a courtesy appointment in the L. C. Smith College of Engineering at Syracuse University.

Professor Turnipseed has an LL.M in Tax, cum laude, and a J.D. from Georgetown University and two graduate degrees from MIT in Nuclear Engineering and Technology and Policy where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow. Professor Turnipseed received a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, summa cum laude, from Mississippi State University where he was a Harry S. Truman Memorial Scholar and has been designated as a Distinguished Engineering Fellow. He has been named a member of the Board of Advisors for the College of Engineering.
