Burmese Peace Education Guide for Training of Trainers (TOT)
(2018)
Abstract
UNESCO with Tatsushi Arai as the lead author. 2018. Enacting a Culture of Peace: Adult Learners' Guide to Peace Education. Yangon, Myanmar: UNESCO Myanmar. (In Burmese)

This is a UNESCO peace education guide designed to introduce diverse approaches to experiential learning in Myanmar. Translated into Burmese and tested through several training-of-trainers workshops completed in Myanmar's western coastal region, the guide seeks to support educators working in diverse conflict-affected communities across the country to build greater inter-ethnic and inter-religious coexistence.

This volume is a training for trainers (TOT) guide intended for use by school administrators and teachers who wish to design and deliver lesson plans for elementary to high school students. All the lesson plans suggested by this guide are highly participatory, experiential, and interactive. Customized guidelines for upper-grade and lower-grade students, respectively, are included.

A separate volume for students, whose content is aligned with this TOT guide, is available in Burmese.
