Tami serves as the Research Coordinator for a Goal II Development grant from the
Institute of Educational Sciences in the U.S. Department of Education awarded to Drs.
Sandi and Ron Gillam. She is the liaison between grant staff and Logan City School
District and coordinates data collection and data analysis. Tami is a clinical instructor
in the special education teacher preparation program at Utah State University, teaching
introductory special education courses along with courses in Assistive Technology and
Early Childhood Assessment. She supervises student teachers in the on-campus and
alternative teacher preparation programs and coordinates public relations outreach
activities for the Special Education Department. Tami also provides faculty training
through the OSEP-funded IRIS project. Her work with the IRIS Center has included field
testing online instructional modules, evaluating information briefs, and training
university faculty and professional development providers in the use of the IRIS
materials. In addition to her university work, Tami also serves as a member of the Utah
State Board of Education.
