Dr. Susan G. Mason holds a Ph.D. in Political Science earned at the University of
Missouri-St. Louis in 2004, which is also the year that she joined the faculty at Boise
State University. Now an Associate Professor in the Departments of Public Policy
Administration and Political Science, Dr. Mason has co-authored two book chapters; one in
the Handbook of Research Methods in Public Administration and another in Public Human
Resource Management: Problems and Prospects. She has authored and co-authored articles
that appear in Economic Development Quarterly, Community Development Journal, Community
Development: Journal of the Community Development Society, State and Local Government
Review and the Journal of Public Affairs Education. Her professional interests revolve
around public administration, and urban and community development.
