Kim is the author of Physics: The Fabric of Reality (Macmillan, 1975) and co-author of Modern Physics for Scientists and Engineers (Macmillan, 1978). He is a contributor to Macmillan Encyclopedia of Physics (Simon and Schuster Macmillan, 1996). His work on a book manuscript on introductory cosmology in collaboration with the late Professor David N. Schramm of the University of Chicago is currently being revised by Professors Krauss and Starkman of Case Western Reserve University under a contract with Prentice Hall. His current teaching assignment includes "Contemporary Concepts of Physics", which enrolls about 200 students per year, and a lecture series, "Cosmos: Perspectives and Reflections". He also runs the Macalester Summer Physics Institute for pre-medical students, which typically draws about 60 students from some 20 colleges and universities.
