Steven P. Kurtz, Ph.D., is Professor at Nova Southeastern University and Director of the Center for Applied Research on Substance Use and Health Disparities (ARSH).  Dr. Kurtz has served as PI or Co-Investigator on seven NIDA-funded multi-year projects, including his PI-ship of a recently completed randomized clinical trial to test the efficacy of a novel substance use and sexual risk reduction intervention designed for gay and bisexual men in South Florida.  Dr. Kurtz is currently PI of a large randomized clinical trial testing the efficacy of an innovative, low threshold substance use and sexual risk reduction intervention for young adult multidrug users in the club scene.  He is also PI of a national prescription drug diversion surveillance study.
