Dr. Konkel has over 25 years of cumulative professional practice, including recent work as a Sr. Research Fellow, Health & Environment at the Dublin Institute of Technology. Co-Founder of an All-island research institute focused on the integration of health and environment. He has also worked as a Sr. Research Scientist in two National Laboratories, Oak Ridge and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA., as well as a Policy Analyst in the Office of the Governor, State of Alaska, during Gov. Jay Hammond’s second Administration. Prof. Konkel has spent the major part of his career teaching, conducting research, and working on interdisciplinary, professionally diverse teams.
