Time to Focus on Teacher Satisfaction
Abstract
This paper utilises data from two research studies, the first into teacher resignation and the second into the impact on teacher's partners, to identify major sources of teacher satisfaction and dissatisfaction. The paper then provides a series of interrelated strategies which education systems and schools might consider if they desire to motivate teachers to assist in the fulfilment of the increasingly complex expectations society has for education.
