Teacher satisfaction, leadership, and school climate : universal challenges.
Abstract
The paper examines changes and problems in the role of the teacher, reporting the results of two research projects which examine issues in teacher resignation and persistence, and school climate and leadership. The role of the principal in managing this changing environment is explored, in terms of attracting, motivating and retaining teachers within a conducive school climate.
