Banking Supervision in China: Basel I, Basel II and the Basel Core Principles
Abstract
We analyses the degree of compliance of the new banking laws and regulations in the PR China with the global standards set by the Basel Committee. Is China really integrating international standards into its legal and regulatory system? This article sets forth the legal framework of banking regulation and supervision in China and shows that China is preparing for a deeper intergration into the international capital markets.Suggested Citation
