Abstract
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) popularly known as 'Indian ginseng' is one of the most important medicinal plants used in various ayurvedic formulations for hiccups, bronchitis, rheumatism, dropsy etc. The variability information on some physiological parameters and host plant resistance to hada beetle was studied from the available germplasm at DMAPR, Anand in Kharif 2007.
