Simon Wilde BBus(Hons)(SCU), PhD(SCU)

Following a career in marketing and events management, Simon joined the School of Tourism
and Hospitality in 2004 to provide assistance and advice to first, second and third year
students regarding Internship/Workplace placements. Since that time, he has pursued his
academic interests with the Southern Cross Business School, completing his doctoral
studies by examining tourism destination competitiveness in a regional Australian
context. His broader research focus is in the areas of marketing (especially challenges
faced by NGOs and public sector entities) and general regional development issues.
