Abdulsalam Sikiru Abidemi (PhD) is an economist at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Nigeria and presently Fulbright visiting research scholar RAND Corporation Santa Monica California. His prior work focused on HIV/AIDs policy in Africa, poverty, economic development, and issues in macroeconomics. His recent work estimates the effects of HIV/AIDS on macroeconomic policy and economic outcomes in Nigeria. His prior work has also been supported by grants from the MacArthur foundation, Carnegie Corporation, and the University Board of Research Ahmadu Bello University Zaria- Nigeria.
