As a Past President of the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand,
Professor Shayne Quick brings a wealth of industry experience and extensive research to
Bond's Sport Management programs. 

He has been a consultant to the Houston Rockets, Sydney Kings, the Australian Motorcycle
Grand Prix, the NSW Waratahs, the Australian Rugby Union and has been involved with the
Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. 

He has also authored and co-authored numerous texts, book chapters and refereed articles
on subjects ranging from strategic sport marketing and management through to
event-specific analyses. His research has focussed on the management of professional
sporting organisations, consumer behaviour and sport management education. 

Prior to joining Bond University, he served as Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at the
University of Waikato in New Zealand and currently teaches at the Democritus University
of Thrace in Greece where he is an adjunct professor.
