His interests are economics of information, scholarly communication and publishing, pedagogical strategies for information literacy that incorporate economic and publishing contexts; development of e-science, searching technologies. Before coming to Syracuse, Scott Warren was the Associate Director of the Textiles Library and Engineering Services at the North Carolina State University Libraries. From 2002-2004 he was Librarian for Physical and Mathematical Sciences and in 2001 began his career at the NCSU Libraries as a Library Fellow. He holds an MA in Library and Information Studies from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and B.S.'s in Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy and a B.A. in History from The Pennsylvania State University.
