Qualifications Bachelor of Commerce - Bond University Master of Film and Television - Bond University Scott undertook a Master of Film and Television at Bond with a thesis examining the film style and narrative characteristics of the films of Martin Scorsese. He began tutoring in communication & media studies in 1991, then lecturing in the film and television program in 1994. In 1999 he was promoted to Assistant Professor. He has been an active member of the Queensland film community, serving on the programming panel of the Brisbane International Film Festival since 1993 and acting as a judge of the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards and Brisbane International Fast Film Festival. He is currently a Senior Programmer of The Brisbane International Film Festival, a programme advisor to the Gold Coast Film Fantastic and weekly film correspondent for ABC Coast FM radio. Scott is currently undertaking his PhD at the University of Queensland with a cultural studies analysis of the "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" entertainment supersystems.
