About Sarah E. Toevs

Dr. Sarah Toevs began her career with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University, and an M.S. in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Missouri. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Education, with supporting areas of emphasis in gerontology and statistics, from the University of Utah, and has been a faculty member in the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University since 2000. With over 30 years of experience in higher education and an extensive network of colleagues in public health and community-based organizations, Dr. Toevs actively engages with students, faculty, and community partners in efforts to maximize quality of life for individuals of all ages. Her research interests include health and health system evaluation and analysis, and reflect the multi-disciplinary nature inherent in gerontology.
