About Sarah Hassebroek, EdD

Sarah Hassebroek specializes in Elementary Montessori Education. Before joining St Kate's, she was a classroom teacher for 10 years and taught in the Midwest and in Costa Rica. She was a Literacy Specialist and an Instructional Coach for four additional years. Sarah studied Anthropology and Spanish in her bachelor's program and obtained a MAED at St Kate's in 2006. Sarah studied Educational Policy and Leadership Studies with an emphasis on Equity in Education and Online Learning at the University of Iowa, where she obtained her Education Specialist degree.
Sarah continues to support the ongoing professional growth for Elementary and Montessori teachers. She is a passionate advocate for quality literacy programming and is a current board member for MRA (Minnesota Reading Association) and the Minneosta Montessori Network. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in education with research focus on supporting multilingual students and teacher preparation programming.
