A native of Chile, Santiago Montt's own research interests are in the area of
international investment law and the move from multilateral trade agreements to bilateral
deals. He earned his law degree with honours from the Universidad de Chile, where he
teaches administrative law and commercial arbitration. He completed his studies at Yale
University where he earned his master of laws and doctor of juridical science degrees,
and served as the John M. Olin Fellow. He currently is an associate attorney with the
firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
