I am an Associate Professor of Legal Studies in the Behavioral Science Department at
Utah Valley University. I have been at Utah Valley University since 2001.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: I have a long-standing interest in the effects of supermax housing on
prisoners. Also, I am interested in the effects of imprisonment on women. Currently I am
examining the quality of life for death sentenced inmates and lifers.
