I am an Associate Professor of Legal Studies in the Behavioral Science Department at Utah Valley University. I have been at Utah Valley University since 2001. EDUCATION: Ph.D. in Criminology from University of Wales , Bangor,2005 B.A. (First Class Hons) in Criminal Justice with Women’s Studies from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, England U.K., 1998 PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS I AM ASSOCIATED WITH: Member, American Society of Criminology Member, American Society of Criminology (Division on Women and Crime) Member, American Association of University Women Member, American Correctional Association RESEARCH INTERESTS: I have a long-standing interest in the effects of supermax housing on prisoners. Also, I am interested in the effects of imprisonment on women. Currently I am examining the quality of life for death sentenced inmates and lifers.
