Abstract

DESCRIPTION: As content area teachers, we find ourselves working with students of multiple reading levels. We still, however, hold the responsibility of teaching all students the subject area content. How can we (1) help develop reading skills in the content areas, (2) increase memory retention, and (3) enhance comprehension? What strategies can we teach students that will help them not just get through our class but will help them study and learn in years to come?
