Opening Brief for Petitioner Goodman in US/Goodman v. Georgia

Samuel R. Bagenstos, Washington University in St. Louis School of Law

Abstract

I argued U.S. v. Georgia, 546 U.S. 151 (2006), for the private petitioner Tony Goodman. The Court held, by a 9-0 vote, that Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act was valid legislation to enforce the Fourteenth Amendment insofar as it applied to cases, like my client's, in which state conduct that violated the statute also violated the Constitution.
