Senior Research Technology Fellow
Dr. Sachin Pawaskar is a Senior Research Technology Fellow in the Department of Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Pawaskar joined UNO in 2016 with 25+ years industry experience.
Dr. Pawaskar holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology, an MBA, and a MS in Computer Science from University of Nebraska at Omaha. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Bombay University. His research interests include sustainability, energy awareness, big data analytics and visualization, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing and forensic anthropology.
Dr. Pawaskar strongly believes in the Service Learning and incorporates Service Learning projects in most of his courses. Some of his service learning projects involved working with K-12 partners such as Omaha Public Schools (OPS) King Science Magnet Center and Marrs Middle School as well as working with local business and non-profits such as UNeMed (WeChart), Together a Greater Good (TAGG), Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), Junior Achievement (JA) of the Midlands and FitGirl Inc.
