Ms Van Der Meer received her BSc (Computer Science & Information Systems) and BA
(Hons) (Political Science) from Deakin University, Melbourne in 1993 and 1995
respectively. Her MTech (Knowledge Management and eBusiness) was received from Swinburne
University of Technology, Melbourne in 2008. Research in the field of ‘knowledge sharing
in sustainable development groups’ is currently being undertaken in the pursuit of a PhD
from Deakin University. Ms Van Der Meer has varied industry experience and first joined
academia with terms at Guangdong Puizheng University and Guangdong Baiyun Institute
(2004-2007). Subsequent roles with Deakin University, Swinburne and Gordon Institute TAFE
were undertaken through 2008-2011. The University of Wollongong welcomed Ms Van Der Meer
in 2012 as a lecturer.
