About Ruth A. Salter

Joining Boise State University in 2002, Ruth A. Salter teaches multiple courses within the Department of English Literature. Concentrating on creative writing pedagogy and therapeutic writing, both with an emphasis on poetry, her presentations and research involve topics such as: the power of narrative, kinesthetic methods in writing, and the health effects of writing. In addition to her instructional work she is the Non-tenure-track Faculty Liaison for the Center for Teaching and Learning, addressing professional development concerns for adjunct faculty and lecturers.
