Dr. Russell Willerton has a Ph.D. in Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech University, an M.A. in English from the University of North Texas, and two bachelor's degrees from Abilene Christian University in English and in Telecommunication. He has been teaching Technical Communication in the Department of English at Boise State University since 2005. Dr. Willerton has published articles on visual communication, white papers in high-tech industries, and online health information, along with numerous book reviews. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and actively serves in professional associations including the Council of Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication, the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, the Snake River Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication, and the IEEE Professional Communication Society.
