About Roxanne Myers Spencer

I am an associate professor and coordinator of the Educational Resources Center, Western Kentucky University Libraries. I have been involved for several years in a project to help develop classroom library collections in English for a school near Barcelona, Spain, in an exchange program between this P-12 private school and WKU. Collection development is one of my strongest interests in librarianship. I have taught collection development, children's literature, and young adult literature as an adjunct in library graduate and undergraduate programs. Other interests include reading guidance--the librarian's practice related to bibliotherapy--and reader's advisory.
