Roslyn Cameron GradCertInstDesign(DEAKIN) GradDipWelLaw(UON) MProfEd&Trg(DEAKIN) PhD(SCU) Ros Cameron is currently a Lecturer and researcher in the field of Human resource management and development (HRM/HRD) with the School of Commerce and Management. She also lectures with the Graduate College of Management (GCM) and acts as a HR consultant for Corporate Programs. She is Editor for a new Journal titled: International Journal of Mixed methods in Applied Business and Policy Research. http://www.academicglobalpublications.com/ijmmabpr/index.htm Ros has a varied work history which includes working overseas in the Middle East and the South Pacific, as well as, an array of positions in the broad area of Human Resource Development and Management within Australia. Ros is a qualified administrator of the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) and have used this tool extensively with Leadership, Team Building and Communication courses in the workplace with middle to senior managers and within University programs. Ros is the Course Coordinator for a new postgraduate course, the Graduate Certificate in Recruitment, Placement & Career Development aimed at the employment and recruitment services industries.Ros is currently Project Leader for a CRC Rail research project focused on Skilled Migration for the Rail Industry and is on the project team for a the CRC Rail project looking at Attraction and Image for the Rail Industry. This applied research may be from across discipline areas within the broader business and management fields and from all areas of policy formulation. Journal objectives include: • Facilitate dissemination of knowledge with a view to improving the use of mixed methods in applied business and policy research • To encourage the sharing and exchange of ideas and approaches in the application of mixed methods in business and policy settings • To exemplify good practice in terms of mixed methods research in this emerging third methodological movement • To act as a forum for critical debate and dialogue in reference to mixed methods.
