Rory Patterson is an Associate Librarian in the Reference and Instruction Department of Liberty University’s Integrated Learning Resource Center. He answers questions at the Reference & Information Desk several hours each week; he also schedules and supervises 17 student workers for the 3 Reference & Information Department service desks. Rory teaches a range of classes from introduction to Information Literacy, to advanced research in the senior and graduate classes of his liaison areas, Business and Nursing. Rory also oversees the Blackboard training modules for all of the Integrated Learning Resource Center’s student workers. Prior to coming to Liberty University, Rory earned a BA in History and Political Science from Cedarville University, a MA in American History from Miami University, and a MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked as a professional librarian in academic libraries, an US Department of Energy research library, and an instructor-support library in Russia.
