Robert A. Yood, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R. is currently director of the Division of
Rheumatology at Saint Vincent Hospital, Director of Fallon Clinic’s Division of
Rheumatology, and Medical Director of the Fallon Clinic Research Department. He is also
Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr.
Yood’s research activities have focused on the use of administrative databases and health
plan populations to evaluate the incidence and treatment of rheumatic diseases. A
particular interest has been the evaluation of adherence with therapy and the
consequences of poor adherence on outcomes for patients with osteoporosis and gout.
